Ultraflex Tile Adhesive

Ultraflex Tile Adhesive is manufactured to the highest international standards and is under SLS 1375 by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution. It is a high-performance, thin-layer, cementitious tile adhesive, supplied in ready-to-use form with the simple addition of water. Ultraflex is specially formulated for bonding ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles, and mosaics on all types of floors and walls.

Features

Permanently flexible, allowing it to be used over substrates that are subject to minor vibration and thermal movement.
Highly water resistant making it ideal for bonding on submerged substrate such as ponds, tanks and swimming pools.
Its high bonding performance and deformability makes it an extremely versatile product, enabling the bonding of reduced porosity natural stone or tiles to new or old substrates.

Surface Preparation and application instructions

Ensure that the tile adhesive has set firmly
Remove space lugs and any excessive adhesive or loose foreign material from the grouting joints to ensure that they are clean.
Mix 300ml of water with 1Kg of grout. Mix thoroughly until it reaches the required consistency.
Use rubber faced grouting trowel or a “float” for application and ensures that the grout is tightly packed between the tiles.
For narrow grooves, dilute grout (approximately 500ml of water per pack) and use a wiper for application.
Allow 20minutes for the grout to dry
Spray or apply a little water for better settlement of the grout
Remove the excess grout from the surface of the tile.
Allow the grout 24 hours to harden. The surface should not be washed, trampled or even stepped on during this period.

The final color will appear after 48 hours

Open Time - 20 minutes
Curing Time - 24 hours

Fresh mortar density - 1.6 - 1.7 kg/L

Coverage Area

Coverage area per bag (25Kg) of tile mortar.

Tiles 16’’ or less 45-50 (sqft / 25kg per bag)
Above the 16’’X16’’ Tiles - 30-40 (sqft / 25kg per bag)

Conditions:

Application surface should be properly leveled.
Wetting the sub floor prior to application of mortar is advisable for better adhesion.
Recommended trowel notches for different tiles as per below table and according to

trowel notch size, mortar consumption is varied.
